HOW TO USE AN RTL KEY , HDSDR , VB HIFI CABLE AND SDR SPY FOR A FULL RDS FM DECODER

Having already installed the software HDSDR for the RTL Key , you can add VB Cable and SDR SPY to build a full RDS FM Decoder .

How to tune a Coaxial Filter     In Fig.1 is shown the connection between Spectrum Analyzer-Rhotector (VSWR Bridge ) and a Coaxial Filter:                                                             Fig. 1. Connections between the instruments.   With this kind of connection you can measure the Return Loss or the Standing Wave Ratio of the coaxial filter at port F (shown in Fig. 1), Table 1 reports the relationship between the R.L and the VSWR. Table 1. Return Loss and SWR.     The Coaxial Filter is tuned by rotating the four knobs named Lin, Lacc1, Lacc2 and Lout, as in Fig 2.   HOW TO REPAIR THE LNB POWER SUPPLY   ON THE SAT RECEIVERS PROFLINE TRSrm AT FIRST WE HAVE TO TELL THAT YOU THAT IF YOU HAVE THIS KIND OF FAILURE 99% OF THE TIME , DEPENDS FROM THE BAD WIRING OF THE EQUIPOTENTIAL GROUND   SYSTEM . THIS MEANS THAT BEFORE CHANGING THE RECEIVER , YOU HAVE TO CHECK TO HAVE THE GROUNDING KIT ON THE SAT INPUT CABLE POSSIBLY BEFORE COMING INTO THE SITE , CONNECTED TO A GOOD COMMON EQUIPOTENTIAL GROUND POINT AND THE CASE OF THE RECEIVER ALSO CONNECTED WITH HIS GROUNDING SCREW TO THE SAME POINT OR AT LEAST TO THE COMMON GRUNDING POINT OF THE RACK THAT HAS THEN TO BE CONNECTED TO THE GOOD COMMON EQUIPOTENTIAL GROUND POINT . OF COURSE ALSO THE DISH AND THE LNB HAS TO FOLLOW THE SAME PRINCIPLES . HOW TO ADD A FAN OR TO CHANGE ONE IN THE PROFLINE TRSrm RECEIVERS OR TO CHANGE A POWER SUPPLY

 At this links you can find how to ADD :   or how to CHANGE a fan : In both cases you have the possibility to drive the 12 V fan with 12 V or with 5V for lower fan speed ( and probably better life , like in the picture) . The connection of the fan at 12 V are shown in the first video . There is also of course the possibilty to mount a 5V fan and drive it drive the fan with 5V .
